Once upon a time, many years ago, there was a band called The City Squires. They played regionally around the Cleveland, Ohio region. The founder, Jim Brickner, and the lead singer, Greg Burnett, wrote songs for the group which they recorded for local record labels and then, finally for ABC Paramount records. That was more than 60 years ago. Their friendship survived all of those years and, although they are separated by many miles, the old “Geezer”, and the old “Koot”, still write and record. Because they no longer tour or do live shows they finally decided on a more suitable name for the duo…GeeZerKooTz.
